AFS Joins Industry Giants to Fund Research
Assured Flow Solutions, LLC, (AFS) has partnered with industry leaders such as Chevron, Statoil ASA, Total E&P, Conoco, Phillips 66 and Halliburton as a full member with the University of Michigan’s Department of Chemical Engineering. The Industrial Affiliates Program on Flow and Reaction in Porous Media focuses on studying paraffin and asphaltene deposition mechanisms. AFS will support the continued development of the Michigan Wax Predictor (MWP) modeling program that will deliver analytical and timely information to flow assurance projects.
“Wax deposition is a substantial economic concern, both for deepwater and unconventional developments. We believe it’s a critical time in the industry to focus on optimization. This collaboration will facilitate significant academic research towards addressing industrial challenges and we are excited to join Professor Fogler’s program. AFS believes this continues our rapid growth towards becoming the industry leader in Flow Assurance from the initial fluid characterization in discovery through operations support,” said Dr. Pete Conrad, Director of Laboratory Services at Assured Flow Solutions.
