On June 15, Assured Flow Solutions presented "Thinking Beyond the Drill Bit 2017," our fourth annual technical symposium. This year’s presenters brought strategic industry insight that “hit it out of the park.” In keeping with previous event culture, this year’s symposium and the post-symposium Rockies vs San Francisco Giants game included quality networking opportunities in an informal setting. This year’s presentation topics ranged from technical to political with a focus on the most topical issues facing the onshore oil and gas industry.

Jan Kulmann

Manager, Engineering Technical Services at Noble Energy

Jan Kulmann, PE has been with Noble Energy since 2014 where she has created a team of engineering technical support for Major Projects while working on strategic initiatives related to electrical power, automation and process safety. Jan has been a Thornton City Councilmember since 2013 and was recently the recipient of COGA’s 2017 Individual Community Impact Award. She was recognized by the Denver Business Journal as one of the Top Women in Energy and as a finalist as a Top Women in Business in 2016.

Pete Conrad

Director of Laboratory Services at Assured Flow Solutions (AFS)

Pete Conrad, PhD is the Director of Laboratory Services for Assured Flow Solutions. Pete has over 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and has a unique industry perspective after working for both production chemical companies and an independent laboratory. He specializes in assisting Industry Partners by solving oil and gas flow assurance and production chemistry challenges.

Dan Haley

President and Chief Executive Officer at Colorado Oil & Gas Association (COGA)

Dan Haley serves as President & Chief Executive Officer of the Colorado Oil & Gas Association. Mr. Haley is responsible for leading the industry in Colorado legislative, regulatory, and public relations matters.  A Colorado native, Mr. Haley has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Wyoming and sits on the Advisory Council to the USO Denver as well as the Colorado Advisory Committee for the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition.
